Charge
(Maintenance Rules For Valve-Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Battery
NP Series)

1. Under floating charge, charge is required with fixed voltage
valuing 2.275V/single cell (provided at 25¡æ). Provided the temperature
is lower than 0¡æ or higher than 40¡æ, it is necessary to vary the
charge voltage -3mv/single cell every 1¡æ, beginning at voltage of
25¡æ.
2. Under cycling charge, charge is required with fixed voltage
valuing 2.40~2.50V /single cell (provided at 25¡æ). Provided the
temperature is lower than 5¡æ or higher than 35¡æ, it is necessary
to vary the charge voltage -4mv/single cell every 1¡æ, beginning
at voltage of 25¡æ.
Early-stage charge current is required to be lower than 0.25CA.
Volume of charge is set 100~120% of that volume of discharge. If
ambient temperature is lower than 5¡æ, the counterpart is 120~130%.
Lower temperature (lower than 5¡æ ) demands longer charge time,
and higher temperature (higher than 35¡æ) disposes over-charge. Hence,
5¡æ-30¡æ is an ideal range for charge under cycling use.
To avoid over-charge, setting up a charge-timer is recommendable,
or adapt charge method to automatic trickle charge.
Temperature of the battery undergoing charge is required to range
between -15¡æ~+50¡æ.
