Storage
(Regulations for Maintenance of Valve-control Sealed Lead-acid
Battery)

(1) In storage, the ambient temperature shall no exceed the scope
of -20¡æ¡«+50¡æ.
(2) In storage of NP battery, the battery shall be fully charged.
If partial content is lost during the transportation or from self-discharging,
recharge before application.
(3) For long-term storage, in order to offset the self discharge,
recharge the battery. The methods of recharging are as indicated
in the following table:
Storage Temperature and Interval of Recharging
|
Storage Temperature
|
Interval of Recharging
|
Recharging Methods (by example)
|
| Below 25¡æ |
one times/six months |
- For 0.25CA and 2.275V/(single grid), charge 2~3 days under
fixed voltage and current.
- For 0.25CA and 2.4V/(single grid), charge 10~16 hours
under fixed voltage and current.
- For 0.1CA, charge 8~10 hours under fixed voltage and current.
|
| Below 30¡æ |
one times/four months |
| Below 35¡æ |
one times/three months |
| Below 40¡æ |
one times/two months |
Storage under temperature over 40¡æ will cause bad influence on battery,
which shall be avoided.
(4) Store in dry, low temperature and well-ventilated place.
(5) As deterioration of NP battery may appear in the process of
storage, so it shall be applied as early as possible.
(6) If the battery is damped in storage or in transportation, the
carton shall be removed immediately, so as to avoid the wet carton
becoming conductor to cause battery discharge or burning of positive
terminal.
